Happy New Year! It’s the end of 2013 and the beginning of 2014, so it’s time to see which articles made it into the top ten list this year. I ran the statistics on December 31st and came up with the following list:
- Python: A Simple Step-by-Step SQLite Tutorial (37,658 page views)
- Python 101: How to Open a File or Program (27,553 page views)
- A Simple Step-by-Step Reportlab Tutorial (18,763 page views)
- How to Send Email with Python (16,922 page views)
- Python 101: An Intro to logging (13,587 page views)
- Python 101: How to Download a File (12,183 page views)
- Python: Parsing XML with minidom (12,063 page views)
- Python and Microsoft Office – Using PyWin32 (11,424 page views)
- A Simple SqlAlchemy 0.7 / 0.8 Tutorial (11,398 page views)
- Python 201: Creating Modules and Packages (11,005 page views)
What I find interesting is that none of the 2013 articles were popular enough to make it into the top ten list. On the other hand, it’s pretty interesting how the various articles have changed in rank since last year. For example, the SQLite tutorial jumped from 8th place into 1st while last year’s previous number one dropped to 2nd place.
